All 50 states must follow CMS federal guidelines as outlined in rule §483.60 Food and Nutrition Services. The following states recognize the Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) credential as one of the qualifications necessary to be a Director of Food and Nutrition Services and have adopted state-level regulations that meet or exceed the federal standards.
The state regulations recognize completion of the ANFP course as one of the qualifications necessary to be a director of food services.
The state regulations do not recognize ANFP, ANFP course completion, or CDM, CFPP credential as one of the qualifications necessary to be a director of food services.
